JUMAMAP and integrated support during the COVID-19 crisis

JUMAMAP is a specific platform created in 2019 with the aim of helping foreign people understand migration legislation and provision in Italy. The platform was developed by Arci National Immigration Office in collaboration with The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and is sponsored by the Italian Ministry of Health as a reliable source of information for foreigners in Italy. In the platform, users can find specific information about the COVID-19 crisis.

On the platform that is now available here you can find documents, videos and podcasts in 15 languages. All these are divided into 3 categories

  1. Health - basic protective measures against the new coronavirus ,and the vademecum (what to do in case of doubt);

  2. Rules and Behaviors - Movement rules, Self-certification rules;

  3. Asylum rules - the covid-19 state of emergency and the procedure to file for international protection, validity of residence permits, extension of identification documents, immigration police headquarters - residence permits, police headquarters summoned.

Moreover in the platform can be found emergency telephone numbers reserved to migrants and refugees.

We believe it can be a useful tool both for foreign people and for operators, also to face the proliferation of initiatives, decrees, controls, releases, speeches to the Nation.
